STARR Treatment Bariatric Surgery

With the introduction of micro-laparoscopic surgery you may be a candidate for virtually scarless weight loss surgery.

The STARR (surgical tiny access and rapid recovery) treatment often requires that a tiny incision is made through the umbilicus (belly button). The other incisions are only 2.7mm. These holes are to small to even surgically close. The pain is even less than traditional laparoscopic surgery. After you recover from the surgery it is often hard to find your scar after you heal from surgery! It also allows you to return to our normal life more quickly.

This is important for several reasons. It lends to a more rapid recovery, minimal pain and excellent aesthetic results.
